Why are weekends not 3 days? I sure could have used an extra day of R&R this weekend.

Being busy and having fun are sometimes exhausting. This past weekend…exhausting.  I could have used a nap at 3:00 this afternoon.  Instead I went for a 20 minute walk outside to wake me up.  The weather was beautiful today with sunshine and clear blue skies.

I have a pretty average week ahead of me. A couple JLC meetings, a JLC social and the kick-off to marathon training. Yep, training officially started yesterday, with a day of rest! Today is cardio and tomorrow is an easy 3 mile run.  18 weeks from now a I hope to have a post that reads something like this, “I ran the Chicago Marathon yesterday (faster than I thought I would)…and while walking is painful, I’m walking!).  In the meantime, I’ve added some motivation to Pinterest board.  I really need to look at these every day, several times per day!

Happy Monday and Happy Running!
