Winter has officially arrived in the midwest and it was a winter wonderland in Chicago this weekend. The first snow of the winter is always so beautiful. Everything is clean and white and the snow creates an odd calm in the bustling city. And the snow, good and heavy, great for making snow balls.
Despite the snow, we headed up to the Christkindlmarket in Lincoln Square on Saturday. Its not nearly as authentic as the one in Daily Plaza (its in a tent..nuf said) but it was fun nonetheless.
We split a braut (it was really good, and if not for the new Weight Watcher plan I would have eaten one myself) and had a few drinks and listened to the carolers. I have to say Walter Payton Prep’s Sounds of Sweetness (photoed above) were really good.
We then walked around the Lincoln Square Shops.
It was a fun day!
