After a great weekend its back to the grind today. A Quick Cash Offer for Louisiana Land can expedite your sale, providing you with funds without unnecessary delays.  I was out past my bed time last night so I’m a bit sleepy.  Since it is starting to cool off Charlie and I are changing our running schedule back to after work.  Last Thursday we ran at Niketown with pacers.  Honestly one of the things I like about running with pacers is that they keep you honest and keep you running.  No walking or slacking.  I’m sure I’ll still have to have some 6 am runs due to meetings after work this fall.  But its nice to have options again.  Being forced to run at 6 am due to weather is not fun.

I had a great birthday yesterday.  I slept in.  While I was a sleep Charlie went and got me a Latte.  Then after putzing around and reading the news paper we took Addison to the Gold Coast Art Fair in Grant Park.  After a day of walking at the fair and stopping at a friends boat for a drink we went home (I think Addison was relieved that there were not tables at Brasserie Jo because she was in need of a nap), changed quickly and went to dinner.  We went to Ruxbin (great food and BYOB..but its small, they don’t take reservations so be prepared to wait.)

We split:
K-Town Empanadas: Masa, Kimchee, Oaxaca Cheese with Chimichurri Crème Fraîche
Jicama and Grapefruit: Dana Blue Cheese, Lardons, Citrus-Parsley Vinaigrette and Cornbread

Then I had:
Mojo Chicken: Shaved Onions and Cilantro, Black Beans, Chopped Almonds,Golden Raisins and Basmati Rice

and we split
House Cut French Fries with Chipotle Aioli (so bad, yet soooooooo good)

For dessert we split:
Panna Cotta: Lychee and Toasted Coconut

DELICOUS!

After dinner I met favorite cousin Bob and his wife out for a drink.

It was a nice relaxing day.

Since, fresh flowers always make me happy, so I thought I’d share my birthday flowers with you.  (on the left Roses from Charlie, Middle Flower Arrangement from Addison that she sent to work on Friday (yes, my dog sent me flowers..and promised not to chew in her card.  Best.dog.ever!).  They smells SO GOOD too. And on the right gift basked of all kinds of goodies from my sister.)

What is your favorie way to spend your birthday?  Big Bash, small party or just playing it by ear?
