This is a new monthly series compiling new food, fitness,  products and entertainment that I’ve recently tried and enjoyed.

Aqua Cycling

Fitness Bucket List –  Check.  For three years, ever since I read about Aqua Cycling in Vogue, I have been angling to try water cycling.

Aqua Cycling

Last month I had a work trip to New York City.  With no plans the evening that I arrived I decided to FINALLY check out Aqua Cycling.

The verdict, it was great but different from what I expected.

The studio was really lovely, the staff welcoming and the instructor was motivating.  It was more challenging than I thought it would be on my joints.  For me, the water didn’t provide as much resistance as I needed on the wheel.  The bikes are fixed gear  and I felt like I needed a little more resistance when peddling.  Regardless, I had fun and all exercises could be modified for various fitness and experience levels. I really like being in the water and especially the calisthenics.    I will also add I was good sore the next day.

I’d defiantly would go back. And, I’d  recommend giving it a try if you live in New York City.

Snacks from Native Foods Cafe

Native Foods Café  is America’s premier fast-casual vegan restaurant, cooking up 100% plant-based food.  I’m a huge fan of their veggie burger and absolutely love their buffalo cauliflower. Recently they launched a line of snacks.  Snacks with a shelf life!  My favorite, the pineapple with vanilla, mint and jalapeño.  Is sweet, bright and spicy.  I grabbed a few for my trip to Tampa.

Big Little Lies

I’m obsessed with this show!  OBSESSED.  If you think it starts a little slow, stick with it, so good.  Fantastic acting.  It is only seven episodes with an AMAZING ending.  No spoilers here.  Just go watch it.

FIT36®

Ummmm squad goals 😍. These ladies crushed tonight’s class with @muffinsandmiles. Special thank you to @true_food_kitchen for providing tasty apps to help everyone refuel post-workout 😋🙌💪

I’ve been trying to expand my scope of exercise so I tried a class at FIT36®.  The HIIT training workouts take you through 12 functional stations twice, performing the movement at each station for one minute, followed by 30-seconds of rest. Creating a 36-minute workout.

I was a bit scared walking in;  I’m not in tip top shape right now. Exercises can be modified (I don’t jump). It was a good workout.  I like the variant of activities even the squats.  I was sore the next three days.  If you live in Chicago and are interested in check it out, they offer free first time classes.  Check them out.
