Today I logged almost 6 miles running and walking with Charlie. More running than walking but lots of walking nonetheless. It felt good to get out and run down by the lake front. It was a beautiful day. I did forget how tired I get after a hard work out (I guess its been that long since I really exerted my legs until they burned and were tired).

I’ve noticed my base pace is much faster than it was last year but my endurance is much less. I’m running around a 10.5 min mile for my first mile then dropping to a 12 min mile. My run walk pace was round 15.5 which is down from 22 last year for five miles. So progress in the pace department is being made. I have faith that I’m going to run a 5K in 30 this year.

I have found a new favorite food..Berry Chill. We stopped on the way home from our run.

http://www.berrychill.com/

20 calories per ounce. Its slight sweet, has a unique taste..almost sorbet like and its good for you especially since it has active cultures. They have all kinds of toppings ranging from healthy fruit to not-so-healthy pie crust. I opted for fresh blueberries, kiwi and mango. It was delish. They have flavors but I just tried the original. I think I might treat myself to a small of the pina colada sometime this week. I’m scared if I keep going I will become addicted.

I’ve added a link my Nike+ I’ve got one challenge going. I’m currently in 6th place, I need to step it up in the next couple of week. I should be back in the running in few weeks since I have to start logging a lot more miles. Its on like Donkey Kong…*giggle*
