Last night I got all dolled up to go to my favorite Charity Event for the Junior League. Its is a always a great time at Windy City Nights; Charlie plays in the poker tournament and I play craps…all for charity.

I was shocked last night when Charlie came to find me at 9:30 pm.  He got bumped from the tournament early.  I’m going to attribute it to medicine head and him not being on his A-game.  He has made it to the final table every year since the tournament started.

We were able to mingle together last night which was a lot of fun.  We also bid and won Bonnaroo tickets!  So I guess were going to Tennessee in June for a music festival long weekend .   I suppose I now have a goal for trying to lose 15-20 lbs by June other public humiliation in the form of wearing a bathing suit at the East Bank pool.

I got this dress on the clearance rack at TJ Maxx.  I think I paid $10 bucks for it…maybe less several years ago.  I’ve been wanting to wear it for a while now as a little cocktail dress.  I wore it with tights that were more like leggings and tall knee boots on New Years.  The boots covered up most of my legs and I was sitting most of the night.

I tried the dress on prior to wearing it to make sure it wasn’t too scandalous.

In other words,  I wanted to make sure my fat legs and knees weren’t looking like two plump frankfurters ready for grilling on an open flame.    I snapped a quick picture (Oddly I don’t have a full length mirror in house) and realized that the dress might look better with a belt.
One hour later…2 fake falls of hair and a lot a mascara …voila!

I got a lot of compliments and my hair last night.  I was inspired by Sara Jessica Parker on Sex in the City back in 2003 and my look first appeared at one of my friend weddings

I take to falls and make HUGE bun.  But I often add some sort of jewelry on the side of the bun.
