Let me just say, I don’t do stripes, unless they are vertical.  I own exactly four items with horizontal stripes:

1. a pink cashmere sweater with a very thin yellow stripe
2. a cowl neck t-shirt in grey and purple from the gap
3. a sweater that I wear sailing (what, doesn’t everyone have a sweater JUST for sailing?)
4. today’s shirt, a light blue and white striped Clothes shirt by Derek Andrew.

Today was a challenge because:
#1 didn’t really meet the trend requirement, in fact you really can’t see the yellow stripe in the sweater
#2 I could have gone with it, but it really doesn’t pair well with business pants (at least the ones that I pulled from the hangers).
So that left me with option #3.   I normally wear this t-shirt with a pair of blue shorts in the summer on a chilly day.

The fact of the matter is I really don’t like stripes on me.  I swear the stripes make my hips look 10,000 times bigger. So lets just focus on my shoes.  mmmmmmmmmmmmmmkay.

In fact this outfit looked much better when I was walking to work.  Don’t cha think?

Stripes- Day 109
Pants- Ann Taylor Loft 2007
Shoes – Tory Burch (gift 2008)
Leather Jacket- Hand-me-down from Jaquie 2009
Scarf- Gift from a friend from India 2006 (I think)
Shirt- Clothes by Derek Andrew (Mark Shale outlet 2004)
Shades- Max Studio (2009)
Purse with Scarf- Talbot’s (2001)
Necklace- ?
Earrings- ?, but I have had them since college

BTW… I ran 2 miles yesterday.  2 whole miles..this is the most I have run in months..it felt so good to run and not wake up with foot pain today.  Instead I woke up with ass, thigh and calf pain..yes two miles and I’m sore!

Stripes are hard…but so are trends! Why aren’t you posting what you wear out at night as well? 🙂
