Roger Ebert said  “(I) have to find peace with the way I look” when he was talking about his appearance is today. Granted, comparing my lack of love for the way I look today and what Roger Ebert has gone though is like comparing a molehill to a mountain. And really, I’m pretty grate full for the way I look 99.9% of the time, fatness and all.  I can certainly deal with my genetic flaws.

I’ve actually decided that I hate these pants. Okay hate might be a harsh word, I dislike the fit of these pants.  I have two other pairs in same style and I don’t like them either.  It is the pockets, I dislike the pockets..they make my hips look huge. (I wonder if I sew them flat if it would make the pants look better?  Isn’t that how Stacey and Clinton solve the big hip pocket issues on What Not To Wear?)  Last thing a fat girl needs is her hips looking bigger than they are. The pants are also big in the waist, yet tighter in the thighs which gives them droopy crotch sans belt. I’m also not a fan of the slight boot cut.  WOW I never knew I had such dislike for the way these pants fit.

Day 143
Sweater- Banana Republic (2007)
Tank- TSE Cashmere (2002)
Pants- Gap (2009)
Shoes- Shoes- Alejandro Ingelmo (Jake Sample Sale) 2006
Jewelry- Necklace gift from Sister, Earrings Marshall Fields (2000)

I’ve found that if something is not flattering to me I need to physically get it out of my closet or I will keep wearing it in moments of no clean clothes weakness. Ditch the pants if you hate them!

How can we tell if the pockets are flattering or unflattering if you are covering them up!?:)

Exactly..I was trying to make them not stick out!

I was also haveing camear issues today. The sun shine was causing weird shadows in my condo.

I have a pair of Gap pants that do something similar with the pockets. I tend to wear a hip length shirt with them.

I do love me some gray and red though! And the cardigan is way cute.

Since I started my blog, it’s one of the things I realize.
The way it looks in the mirror is not the same as it looks in camera… I wonder which way people see me?
From my side, i think it is the pattern on the fabric…?

Great blog–I’m so impressed by your challenge! I don’t think I’d have the willpower! You know, I kinda like those pants 🙂 I think you should try sewing the pockets if it would make you like them more. (I mean, if Stacy & Clinton do it, it can’t be bad right?)
