Today I am wearing a NEW pair of pants that I ripped the tag off of just this morning. I’ve had these Banana Republic khaki pants for 3 years now and they have never fit properly. But today they do..yippee! BR pants fit smaller in the hips and thighs than most other brands that I wear and they are more true to size. I’m almost to the point were I can wear a size 14’s in other brands yet I’m just fitting into size 16’s at Banana Republic. I also have to buy longs at Banana Republic and have the legs shortened. Regulars are to short yet the longs are too tall (story of my life, which is why I buy unhemmed pants when possible).
Yesterday I mentioned that I like my pant because they had a slit pocket. So do these.
I’m also wearing the first pair of designer shoes I ever bought. Oh how I love these shoes! They are Burberry. I remember buying them in the winter 2001 at a Bloomingdales sale. By the way, I no longer shop at Bloomingdales or any other Federated Store for that matter. Yes, I’m still on my self imposed ban in protest of them closing my beloved Marshall Fields and turning it into a Macy’s. Back to the shoes, they were the last pair of size 41’s they had and I was so excited to wear them. I remember the first night I wore them out, I thought my feet were going to fall off (clearly back then I was not use to wearing heels as now these are comfortable work wear)..but I looked HOT HOT HOT in those heels. I wore them with a pair of black leather pants…HOT HOT HOT.
