After a fun night in Nashville we packed up the rental car and made our way to Bonnaroo…with a few stops.
We stopped at Centennial park in Nashville to the see the replica Parthenon.
After a stop at Target then Walmart (I forgot my festival hat in the hotel and needed a replacement) I had my first Christian chicken experience …tasty I must say (vacation food doesn’t have calories right?)
Now normally I’m looking for fried foods post the indulgence of the fine spirits of Mr. Jack Daniels, but since Lynchburg is a dry county, there was no sampling.
In Lynchburg I made Charlie stop at the Tennessee Walking Horse Museum (it was a nice room with a bunch of pictures) where I tried to explain the mechanics of the horse, their shoes and how they slow-gait and rack.
We finally started to make our way to Bonnaroo around 5:00 pm. People who were camping had about a 5 hour wait to drive into the campgrounds.
We made our way thought the campgrounds.
And finally we made it to our first band.
Sorry folks, no fashion shot. I’m function over fashion on this trip. To quote Charlie this morning (after me commenting on his shirt that doesn’t match his shorts). “Do you think I give a shit if my shirt matches, I’m going to a festival with a bunch of stoned hippies who HAVEN’T showered ”
Yeah, he’s got a point. Its hot and dirty…and oh, did I mention its hot.

I didn’t realize you never had CFA before. I would have taken you there, since it started in GA.
Have fun at the festival. Yes it is rather hot out.
I need to see hot sweaty fashion!
