It was a cool and rainy day in Boston. As you can tell from my headlights in my sweater. Couldn’t see those in the tiny camera screen. Ooops.
Thats the view from my balcony..sweet eh?
Anyhow, My plan was to go running but it was just nasty out this morning so I settled on the elliptical instead. One hour on the elliptical, I guess its better than one hour of nothing.
While the conference is somewhat of a snoozefest (not sure how one could actually make healthcare IT standards interesting? a dancing gorilla perhaps?), I learned a lot about genomics at the plenary session. I also managed to only eat 1/2 a cookie at cookie hour. Yes, they have a cookie hour. I need a cookie hour like a need a whole in my head.
And making the most out of my non conference downtime in Boston, I met up with a few women (including Christy @ The Outer Aisle) who I talk to online re: running. It was a really nice dinner (where I exhibited self control over the naan). Its always fun to meet people that you talk with online but have never met. We gabbed about food, diet and running. Definably a fun night.

Cookie hour ????
Cookie hour !!!
I must be working in the wrong place… we don’t have that.
AND YOU HAVE a strong WILL, I could never eat JUST half a cookie.
LMAO at your headlights!
Dinner was so fun! It was so nice to actually hang out and talk…rather than our usual hang out and read :). You have even more style in person.
Good for you with the cookies! Now THAT is a happy hour. Re: the naan…you did show incredibe restraint. Me on the other hand, I ate the rest in the car home. I manage to save the rice & saag for lunch. But only because I didn’t have a fork in the car.
Great view. Boston is my favorite city to visit.
And the scarf-belt makes the outfit. Very cute.
I didn’t notice the head lights until you pointed out.
You kill me with the half things. First bacon now cookies.
Great view of Boston!
