Friday night I made the worlds worst pizza.  News Alert- Trader Joe’s Whole Wheat Crust Kinda Sucks.

Saturday, I ran errands and had a nice lunch at the Hofbrauhaus.  Then Charlie and I had cozy night watching Inception and carb loading on pasta and baked chicken with goat cheese, basil and tomatoes.

Sunday was a 6 am wake up.  I got up to earn another one of these:

That’s #3 this year people!

This one hurt a little more than the last two.  My foot is hurting (the good one..ugh).  My hamstring on my left side hurts too; it started hurting at mile 7.  I have some nasty blisters.  And to top it off, my ass is a bit chafed.  STOP LAUGHING.  But yes I have two chafed spots on tuckus.  Awesome.

The race was hard. I tried the run/walk thing.  Not for me.  Not for me at all.  I just never got in a groove.  The headwinds were killer too. By the time I could take advantage of the tailwinds, I had no gas in my tank.  I was hating life and my hamstring at mile 9.  The race was .3 miles LONGER than 13.1 too.  But I finished.  And that my friends is what matters.

This year I’ve proved that I can run injury free.  I also proved that it is humanly possible to run, er run walk, 3 half marathons.

I have a 15K on my schedule next week.  I’ll see how I recover this week and how my foot feels.

So what fun things did you do this weekend?

The run/walk thing takes a lot of practice, imo. Because you have to deal with your head and if you are in a groove.

I hope the foot is better.

    I ran/walked 3 miles (but not because I wanted to walk…hip issue).
