Self Diagnosis

Yesterday I self diagnosed my post 1/2 marathon foot pain as Peroneal Tendonitis.  It is supposedly a result of acute or chronic overloading of one or both of the peroneal tendons.  Treatment: hard soled shoes with a slight heel lift and RICE (rest, ice, compression, elevation).

The only pair of hard soled shoes that I have without a heel are my brown boots.  My choices of what to wear with these boots are slim unless I’m wearing jeans.  Like my mom always use to say, you can’t make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
On another note, I’m currently retaining about 9 lbs of fluid in my body.  I almost cried when I stepped on the scale today.  But then I realized that is pretty impossible to gain 9 lbs in 3 days without eating an entire sheet cake and 10 Dominoes pizzas.  Needless to say, if the fluid doesn’t come out of my muscles in the next 3 days, I’m going on fluid reduction detox to get rid of it.  And if I see a 2 on that scale, I will cry tomorrow!  I can even feel it in my face; I’m puffy everywhere.  Sometimes I really hate my body.

Then again, I have nobody to blame but myself after my salt bomb “Asian” dinner extravaganza.

Asian meatballs, Asian Slaw and Soba Noodle Salad.

I retain a lot of water after physical exertion. When we went to Disney World my rings didn’t fit and I had cankles for days, and it was not hot there, just the miles and miles (over 45, I wore a pedometer) of walking over 4 days. It usually comes off within a week.

Your poor feet!! Those boots are cute though–they don’t look like “foot pain” shoes 🙂 And that salt-bomb meal looks delicious!

What fantastic boots! Hopefully your foot heals soon, because foot pain is the WORST.

    Beautiful. Simply gorgeous.
I adore this simply classy look on you.
I cannot pull off those flats boots. Too short, too stubby and it’s too damn not here .)
