Every year at Christmas I channel my inner Martha. Last years dinner was a tour to cuisine, I made dishes from every country I visited in 2009. This year short on travel and seeking simplicity I created an elegant Christmas dinner.
Appetizers:
Bacon Bourbon Carmel Corn
Shrimp Cocktail
Artisan Cheeses with Salt and Pepper Nuts and Fig Jam
Dinner:
Mixed Greens, Shaved Fennel, Oranges, Toast Walnuts tossed in a Light Asian Vinaigrette
Beef Tenderloin (with Horseradish sauce I forgot to serve, oops)
Roasted Root Vegetables with Fresh Herbs
Sauteed Spinach with Garlic and Olive Oil
Red Cabbage
Dessert:
Sollen
As you can see we had a lot of other sweet treats that people brought.
It wouldn’t be Christmas without some sort of game.
I’m looking forward to the rest of my time off from work. Considering I think I’m coming down with a cold I can use the R &R.

Well color me impressed! Your meal looks both beautiful and delicious!! What lucky guests! Hope you had a great Christmas.
Well, indeed you channeled you aunt Martha Delane Stewart !
Adore your table setting and I want cookies….
