One of the things I have learned though my travels is that you can really absorb culture though food.  Eating while on vacation is something you should enjoy. You should try new foods and taste new things.  Its part of the vacation experience.

So while on my staycation I’m enjoying a taste of all things Chicago that I have been wanting to taste.

Today’s delight was the Meatyballs Mobile, one of the few food trucks in Chicago.

I was sad that that lobster balls were sold out.  I knew I should have hiked it over to the Merchandise Mart.  But the comfort of my PJ’s won and I waited for the truck to make its way across the street from where I live.

I instead selected the Thai’d  Balls.  Charlie and I shared an order of the Truffle Dusted Chips and the Chocolate Salty Balls.

Hello DELICIOUSNESS!  No Really SERIOUSLY Delicious!!!  And the Chocolate Salty Balls were the perfect finish to my lunch.

A few errands were run today and I also made an appearance at the gym.  I ran a whole mi$e today.  $1 in the shopping pot!  I ran with my Nike Frees and I could hardly breathe so a mile was all I could muster.  I relaxed in the steam room afterward and had nice healthy soup and salad dinner.

Tonight I’ll be curling up on the couch and watching a movie.

This whole vacation at home thing is kinda fun!

My last vacation was in March and we went to Morocco.
I tried SOME food but I am a real picky eater, there are some things I could just not put in my mouth. I swear I try but i get these awful images in my head …

Lorena I draw the line at dirt or anything that is a waste product, living creatures, bugs and rodents. Other than that I’m open.

I know I’m not a fan of most organ meats since I have tried them…no amount of spice has made me like them. But I tried them..
