Wow did this weekend fly by?
Lots of socializing, lots of eating, very little zero exercise.
I literally spent the weekend in this cozy sweater.
Saturday I wore it to lunch with one of my best friends. We met each other our freshman year in college and have been friends for over 18 YEARS! WOW…I’m getting old. It just seems like yesterday we were going to frat parties and drinking Natural Light…from a Keg! Oh the days of my youth! We met up for a big sushi lunch and then I did a little shopping downtown. I scored a street parking spot close to Michigan Avenue, so I did two hours of power shopping at Water Tower. After fighting a crowded mall, I spent a cozy evening on the couch with a headache and HGTV.
Sunday I put this ensable back on and went to my friends Annual Ornament Exchange. Now instead of sipping Natural Light at Frat party, I sip tea and eat delicious cucumber sandwich and scones.
I gave a really beautiful ornament that I got at the One of a Kind show earlier this month.
In return I picked lucky number 3.
I love the ornament that I won. Its so very Lilly Pulitzer with the green and gingham. And the little elf is just too cute.
Tonight I’m back on my couch, less the headache flipping between the football game and Desperate Housewives. 18 years ago, $.25 beers at Sully’s and $.10 wings. Oh how times have changed.

The ornament exchange is a great idea–so many of my friends complain about not having any Christmas ornaments! And the eating/drinking/no exercising sounds a lot like my weekend!
Its a lot of fun. My friend has been hosting for 10 years now. Always a fun time and some fun ornaments.
Ooo yes, I love the ornament you won as well. I’m sorry to hear you were not 100%. A cozy sweater is just what the doctor ordered!
