I started the weekend with Christmas caroling at The Bean Friday night.  It was cold, and well, the Old Town Folk singers sang some really somber carols.  Me, I’m a fan of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Jingle Bells.  The ukuleles put me over the edge, so  we made an exit and headed to dinner.

We had a wonderful dinner at the Purple Pig after a wonderful hour wait.  Well worth the wait though.  The crispy pigs ears with kale and a fried egg was AWESOME.  The roasted bone marrow with herbs was fantastic.  And the chicken thigh kabobs and morcilla were equally as tasty. Lets just say any restaurant with the motto, Cheese, Wine and Swine speaks my language.

Saturday was a lazy day.  Other than running to the grocery store, it was completely uneventful.

Saturday night I put on a party dress (which fit and has not fit in a LONG time) and went to Charlie’s company Holiday Party at The Southern (I have no idea how many hush puppies I actually ate, but a truck load would be a good estimate).  It was a fun time, but cruddy weather.  I bailed on the pub crawl after the party.  I was tired, my feet were starting to hurt and did I mention the weather was cruddy?  Also, after the truck load of hush puppies I thought it best to minimize the flex point damage and go home.
Sunday was less than stellar, well unless your a polar bear who is also a Patriots fan.  Sunday we headed to game 14.  Needless to say the weather was cold, BITTER COLD.  And the Bears got a good old fashion ass kicking.   I’m happy to be home, sipping hot tea and watching football on TV.
This week is going to be a VERY busy week, but after Friday I am on vacation for two blissful weeks.  I more than likely end up working from home a few days of that vacation but I will be on vacation much of that time, nonetheless.  I’m really really REALLY R-E-A-L-L-Y looking forward to it.
