I really want ankle pants to look awesome on me. Alas, they do not.
I was actually embarrassed at my pictures today. Good lord lady, you went out of the house looking like that! Yet I looked in the mirror this AM and thought, hmmm, not to shabby. Just goes to show you that I need to buy a full length mirror or more Spanx. About the only redeeming quality I see in these pants are they make my feet look thin. Awesome. Because we all know, people look at your feet and say..wow, your feet, they are looking so thin lately, have you lost weight?
Has anyone under 5’9″ who weights more than 145 lbs ever styled an ankle pant suit successfully? If so share your secret with me.
I’m determined to make these pants work. DETERMINED I TELL YOU. (yes I’m stubborn..just ask my mom to show you the picture of me sleeping standing up because I wouldn’t go to sleep)

Thanks for your comment on CGC ~ I love meeting new Chicago bloggers, especially when they share a love for food 😉
Delane, I always think you look great, but I would do a contrasting color top (maybe a little longer). I usually wear them with a sweater coat or something like that to hide my tummy. And I think ankle boots or ballet flats would also work better. Keep strutting your stuff!!
While I do think this works I can totally relate to that feeling of looking good in the mirror and then downloading the pictures at the end of the day and saying to yourself “I walked out of the house like thiS?” and then turning to my husband and saying “YOU let me out the door like THIS?”.
Hey BTE did you get my CR mail ?
I say ditch the ankle pants…..although your feet do look really thin!
My only thought would be to do the ankle pants with dark tights/knee highs and dark shoes (all one color). But we know I am not the fashon maven.
Maybe a longer top not tucked in? something that flows out a bit and just touches a little lower than your hip? I’m thinking that it will elongate your top portion a bit and give some balance where the ankle is not so drastic. I may be just talking out of my butt right now, but that was my immediate thought.
btw – I found you on the WW board – running thread. *hi*
Thanks MiddleKid.
Lorena I did..I will email you back.
I knew you would say that Susan…they would be capris on you 🙂
Hi Stephanie. Love my WW runners. Some really great peeps. And I agree..I think they need to be balanced..or I need to get to goal
