When I started this blog, I entitled it “Euphoric Agony: how I feel about running”. I started this blog to chronicle my running journey. The title of the blog was created because of how I felt about running. And back when I started this blog running was agony 99% of the time but that one 1%… the 10 seconds before the end and immediately afterward was 100% euphoria. That euphoria is what kept me running all these years.
Well over time, running has become less painful. It has also become a little less euphoric. Now I just run and most of the time I like it, heck, I actually enjoy it. Yes there are times when I push myself and running is agony uncomfortable, but not agony. And there are times when a great run happens and I get that “runners high” … euphoric exhilarating.
Over time my blog has changed too. It is no longer just about running. My blog now chronicles my struggles and successes with weight loss, exercise, food I love, recipes that I want to share, and running. My “daily” photos are my photo journal of my weightloss and sometimes weight gain. And those photos have turned into a creative outlet for my love of clothes and my love of fashion.
When I started this blog I never thought anyone other than a handful of my friends, runners I know and my mom would ever read it. Now I have several people who visit my blog every day and read what I have to say. And while its flattering, sometimes its exhausting. I don’t always have time to blog after work or take a picture before work or just have an original thought come from my tired brain.
Over the past 4 years I have changed and so has my blog.
So I’ll quit beating around the bush here …I’m changing the title of my blog.
Its no longer what I think about running and its slightly depressing. Associating something that has changed my life for the better with agony is well, not positive. I even changed the tag last year to …”walking a mile in 4 inch stilettos” because I didn’t like the title I chose for my blog.
So I’m yes, I’m going to be changing my blogs name. I’m not sure what I’m going to change it to yet.
Any ideas?

How about the three words you use to describe your style?
“stylish/classic/modern” or some mashup of those three words? Or the words you actually used to describe your style.
Or maybe “slavetoaddison” but then you would get misplaced Cubs fans.
Or “pullingonmybiggirlpants”
*snort*(
I have to stop and go back to work now….
No blog title ideas, but I’m so glad to hear that running has had such a powerful impact on your life! And good luck with training for the Chicago marathon! I ran my first marathon last year and it was Chicago. Despite the cruel heat, it was an awesome experience to run and finish.
Hmmmm, I think you describethe blog well in the “about Delane” section:
“Fashionable Weight Loss Journey”
🙂
I second “Fashionable Weightloss Journey”
