A big ole’ Thumbs UP for the Weekend!!!

One thing that I think every person needs to find is a good cobbler (the person not the delectable dessert (two B’s not one), though both might be a good idea).  I have had these boots for around 6 years.  When it comes to cost per wear I think they are now less than a penny per wear.  I bought these boots at J-Crew on sale.  They were a bit tight when I got them, so  I took them to my cobbler and had them stretched. $10 bucks later I had the perfect pair of kitten heel brown suede boots.  I’ve also had new heel put on them three times. $6 bucks, new heels,  like brand new.  I’ve even had the suede fixed on them twice when I have torn it around the heels.

Now, they are beat up, but I love them.  I need to figure out how to “polish” them.  Some of the suede is looking dingy.  But I love, them so I will keep wearing them.  Someday  I will need to replace them, I might need to have a small memorial before they go to shoe heaven.

Do you have a pair of shoes that you just can’t part with?

Jeans- Talbots (also seen here)
Tank- Lafayette 143
Sweater- Banana Republic
Belt- ? I think I got it with a pair of jean in college
Boots- J-Crew (last seen here)

That is amazing! I have to say, my shoes that I may never part with are my UGGs.

That belted cardigan is very slimming on you! I can’t say that I have a pair of shoes I’d never part with. I still have a sweater I got on vacation (while in high school) in 1988 though!

Red is a great color on you and the necklace plays off of it so well! Love it!

You look so thin (and healthy!)))

I could never part with my Birkenstocks. They are so awful looking, but so comfy.

Yep, I have several pairs of shoes that I think the cobbler may know by their first name. I keep on going back to get them repaired and while in line waiting I have gotten weird looks as I hold my shoes —-
    from other customers.
