Day 1

 Day 2

Day 3

Day 4
I spent this past week at a conference in Orlando Florida.  It was 80-85 degrees every day and sunny. BLISS…PURE BLISS.  Too bad I spent most of those days in a conference facility.  I was able to enjoy the late afternoons and evenings when the confrence was over.  One day I even took an hour nap poolside during sunset.
It was awesome not to wear a heavy parka for a few days.  I’m back to Chicago and back to reality.  It had to happen sometime.

As for what I wore:

Day 1 I wore my gray suit.  Suit was mostly comfortable (it needs to be altered in the waist), my shoes produced blisters.
Suit- Ann Taylor Loft
Shoes- Bandalino
Belt- Talbots
Top- Theory
Pendant- is an antique pin
Earrings- ?
Day 2 I wore Talbots separates.  The jacket and pants don’t match but they really well together.  The jacket has a red pinstripe while the pants have a white pinstripe.  The suit was super comfortable, the shoes, well my feet were swollen and my blister hurt worse than day 1.
Jacket- Talbots
Pants- Talbots
Blouse- Talbots
Belt- Talbots
Shoes- Ellen Tracey
Earrings-?
Watch- Fossil
Day 3…hell NO to heels.  Comfortable skirt and blouse.  I meant to wear this with the Day1 jacket but I was hot (then got cold in the conference center).  Either way, it was appropriate though the jacket would have given it more of a business look.
Skirt- Zara
Top- Theory
Belt- Talbots
Shoes- Tory Burch
Earrings- ?
Day 4 I recycled day 2 with a different top.  Swelling came down in my feet and I had on blister pads.
Jacket- Talbots
Pants- Talbots
Blouse- Ports 1961
Belt- Talbots
Shoes- Ellen Tracey
Earrings-?

Watch- Fossil

What do you think about not wearing a suit at a conference or business convention?  Okay, not okay?  I saw a mixture of business, business casual and something somewhere in-between.
I think as long as you look put together and professional you okay.  But for men, slacks and a long sleeve tucked in dress shirt is the minimum and at least bring a sports coat.  If your in sales, suffer, but on a tie unless your forced to wear company logo gear.

I think when you are somewhere warmer, its ok to wear what you wore. Super cute in fact!

PS- I’ll email you my final Notch measurement tonight when I get home! Forgot today was the 28th until I got to work 🙂

I love day 1. Maybe because I have a really similar suit in that same color…..
I think that suits always work, if people are a little more casual then you can always remove the jacket and voilá.
