Have you all heard of Shabby Apple?

It’s an online boutique which offers a wonderful selection of classic and stylish dresses. I have admired their dresses FOREVER but I’m not really much of an online shopper.  I’m always hesitant to buy online unless it is an item that I want but was out of stock at a store.  Normally, I have a need to touch and inspect garments before I purchase them unless I know the brand.

So when I was asked if I wanted to review one my favorite Shabby Apple dresses called Happy Talk I was excited.

The dress has two rosettes that adorn the bodice with a simple, elastic-drawn waist that gives a perfect fit.  I think it shows off my curves but doesn’t make me look bootylicous because it is fitted in a classic design. The material is soft and easy to move in and has a bit of give.

Like many of their dress, I think this dress can easily be dressed up or down.  And with the classic style I will get lots of mileage out of it. To store this properly, items such as clothes hangers uk can be of use.

No matter how many sizing charts there are, I am always uncertain of what size I should get when  purchasing clothes from an online retailer.  I wear everything from a size 8 blouse to a size 16 pants and every size in-between. Thankfully, Shabby Apple makes returns and exchanges free and easy.  I was spot on when I making my decision to order a Large by using their sizing guide.  However, the description said that the dress would fall just below the knee and on my 5’8″ frame it hits just at the knee (which to be honest, I actually prefer).

I’ve had a fantastic experience shopping online with Shabby Apple and this dress will most defiantly become a staple in my wardrobe this summer.

I also wanted to highlight the main reason I will come back and shop at Shabby Apple; their commitment to women.  I volunteer with an organization that “develops the potential of women” so when I read that Shabby Apple shares a percentage of its profits with Unitus I was elated

Shabby Apple donates 5% of its net sales to support work in India (where Shabby Apple Dresses has sourced many of its dresses and the textiles used to manufacture its dresses).  In addition, each Shabby Apple Dresses customer has the opportunity to donate an extra five dollars to Unitus every time she buys a dress. Shabby Apple Dresses and Unitus are involved with 10 of India’s most promising microfinance organizations that provide financial services to more than 1.6 million hard-working women and their families.

Every $100 donation from Shabby Apple Dresses provides at least 20 women with access to financial services – and the chance to live a life without poverty.

And that in my book, IS AWESOME!

Shabby Apple is offering 10% off to my readers, just use the code euphoricagony10off (expires 4/30/2011).  Happy Shopping!!!

All opinions are 100% my own.  I was not compensated for this review.  Thank you Shabby Apple for sending me the Happy Talk dress to review.
