Lost Luggage New Shoes

My good friend Allison  questioned my taste in shoes yesterday. “I’m not sure of those shoes.”

So today in lieu of posting some really crappy photos taken in my hotel room and then having me piss and moan about how tired and bloated I am from traveling lets talk shoes. A happy subject because who doesn’t love shoes?

I have Sasquatch DNA, I wear a size 10.5 US (sometime most times an 11), size 41 European shoe.  Finding a pair of shoes that fit and are comfortable is almost as hard as finding a pair of  jean or a pair of pants that fit off the rack.  ALMOST.  I also tend to be drawn to high heels..skyscraper high heels.  Sadly, they are not always practical.  I wish they were and I wish I was one of “those women” who can walk miles in pair of 4 inch stilettos without wanting a foot amputation by the end of the day.  Even as I’ve lost weight my feet still hurt after walking in heels, which is why I carry a pair of walking shoes with me most of the time.

I also tend to buy good shoes.  If they are not leather or lined in leather or cloth I probably won’t buy them.  I own several different brands of shoes, I’m not a loyalist.  I tend to pick quality and style over brand.   Sadly Christian Louboutin’s don’t fit my feet (I have one pair that I wear out of spite and curse the man about 5 minutes after wearing them).  Now Manolo Blahnik, Sergio Rossi, Jimmy Choo fit me like a glove.

So how did I end up with a pair of file floral print Nine West lassies in my wardrobe?  Desperation!  I had one hour to shop when I lost my luggage.  I bought a plain blue dress with gold buttons.  I wanted a shoe that matched what I was wearing while not making me look like a flight attendant, a shoes that  was somewhat comfortable to walk in, not to high and most importantly ON SALE.  If  United doesn’t cough up the dough for my lost luggage I didn’t want to end up with a pair of shoes that I wasn’t going to wear and paid a small fortune. And I wanted something that I didn’t already own.

Viola, new shoes.  So what do you think?  Hidden Gem?

I really like the shoes, I could tell just from the sneak peak yesterday. I usually wear a 9.5-10, but have some boots in 10.5. I figure I’m tall (5’10”), I need big feet for balance!

Now that I see they are a heel, they are good. From the angle of the picture from yesterday, they looked nothing like something you would wear. (I was thinking something from the Villages in FL)…lol!

    I’m 10-10.5 but a Euro 41.

Well I love them! And I too wish I could wear high heels all day, but if it’s more than a couple of inches I don’t last long!
