Six week of pretraining for the marathon starts TODAY. Oddly its starts with day of rest. The pretraining has 4-5 days of running for 6 weeks and peaks with a 12 mile run. Its targeted to build a solid 6 mile base. I have a lot of travel in the next two weeks so I will have to be dedicated to running in DC, Philly and Orlando.

I’m also working to create a food plan that both Charlie and I can follow. It will be key to have the proper nutrition for good runs and fast recovery.

I’m actually pretty amped to start. But don’t fear I’m sure by Friday the newness will wear off and the soreness will set in. I’ll be back to complaining in no time.

This weekend was pretty busy. Friday night instead of staying home we went to a BYOB party that was a fundraiser for the Starlight Foundation. We ate English Pub Grub and drank beers with my cousin.

Saturday I was up early to take Addison to the groomers (she is now sporting her new summer hairdo) and Charlie to a friends (they were going to a beer festival in Indiana). I was then off to brunch (YUM). I also did a bit of closet cleaning and planted my herb garden.

Today I need to start seeds for my tomato and eggplant, meal plan and straighten up the kitchen.

The next two weeks are ridiculously busy so I need to get a plan in place so I’m not all over the place. A sneak peak:

Monday- Junior League + Cardio +1
Tuesday -Junior League + 4 miles
Wednesday- Cardio +2
Thursday- leave for DC + 4 miles
Friday- Meeting in DC then Home, Charlie leaves for Miami + Cardio
Saturday- 5 miles
Sunday-Cardio
Monday- Junior League -5 miles
Tuesday- Day trip to DC + DOR (I have no choice I leave at 6 am and don’t get back till 7 pm)
Wednesday- Fly to Philly – 7 miles (make up from Tuesday)
Thursday- Conference in Philly + 4mile
Friday Conference in Philly +4 miles
Saturday- 4 miles
Sunday- leave for Orlando + light Cardio

I’m then in Orlando for 4 days, come home and have a Wedding that weekend.

Off to meal plan…or take a nap.
