Custom tailoring is one of the great tricks to clothes that fit well. A simple nip and tuck done by your local dry cleaner can change an ill fitting garment into one that fits like a glove.  When I first heard of eShakti I was intrigued with the idea behind the business. You can order clothing by size or, for a small fee, you can get it customized. You can customize the sleeves, lower a hemline and even get something custom made for your measurements. Great idea, right? Especially if you have a hard to fit physique.

So you can imagine how delighted I was when eShakti contacted me to review a product.  I selected the take a bow dress.   I was attracted to the dress’s feminine pink color and crepe fabric.  I liked the bow tie but I wasn’t fond of the black collar so I customized the dress to have it made with the bow collar in the same color as the dress.  I ordered a large based on the sizing chart posted on eShakti’s website.

In less than a week after I ordered the dress it arrived.   I was delighted with the construction of the dress.  The fabric is weighty; the stitching is well done (no strings or crooked hems).  However, the dress is not lined so I need to wear a slip under it.

As for fit, it is okay.  I have a long shoulder to waist ratio with a short waist to hip ratio so the dress could be a bit longer in the torso.  The waistline of the dress hits me a bit too high for my figure. The arms are also a bit loose.  The elastic could be a bit tighter on my forearms.   I do love the length of the dress; it hits me right at the knee.

Overall I’m satisfied with the dress.  In the future, I would customize the sizing to ensure fit. I would not hesitate to order from them again.

Thanks Lorena and Sandra. The view is from my condo. Its one of the main reasons why I love living where I do. Its even better at night with all the lights.

Nice to see a lady that will wear a slip. Seems like so many women never wear them anymore.
