I have inherited quite a collection of vintage jewelry over the years from my great aunts and mom. Some of the earrings are torture devices screw posts which are NOT.COMFORTABLE.AT.ALL! How women use to wear them all day is beyond me? After five minutes of wear my earlobes are throbbing.
As much as screw post earrings are uncomfortable, I cannot bear to part with them especially these amber and pearl earrings. I love how they are not identical. One of the stones is just a hint lighter than the other and the metal is hand forged so they are both not identically oval
Last week I picked up a pair of ear hookwires, got out the pliers and three minutes later, voila!!!
I now have a pair of gorgeous vintage gem earrings that won’t make my ears scream.
These are gorgeous.
VIntage has a special feel to it and a long lost craftmanship.

When I just looked at the pictures, I was wondering how you can last in those without your lobes hurting. Then I read.
