I am of the personal opinion that the best way to get in my vitamins is to eat them in my food. But I don’t always eat a diet that provides me with 100% of every essential vitamin and minteral that my body needs.  So, I take a multivitamin.  Here is the thing, I HATE TAKING PILL VITAMINS.  While overall they make me feel great, they make me nauseous for about an hour after taking them (empty, half full or full stomach).  And, I tend to burp vitamins all day.  I talked to my doctor about this and she recommended I drink my vitamins or take chewables.  She said drinkable is the optimal delivery vehicle.

Since I have been on a smoothie kick, I have started adding Natural Vitality vitamins directly to my breakfast smoothie.  Natural Vitality Organic Life Vitamins are organic plant-sourced vitamins.  They incorporates organic superfruits (pomegranate, açaí, goji and noni) and fruits (apple, banana, blackberry, blueberry, cranberry, mango, orange, pineapple, raspberry, strawberry and tart cherry), plus organic vegetables (beets, broccoli, carrot, collard greens, kale, peas, pumpkin, spinach and tomato)in their formula.  They use organic produce to ensure no pesticide, herbicide or fungicide residues, chemical fertilizers or genetically modified ingredients are included in any of their formula.

Since the Natural Vitality is fruit and vegetable based I have found that fruit based smoothies taste the best.  An alternative is to add very powerful flavors like this amazon greens powder to over power the vitamin supplement.   But I think fruit is the way to go.  My favorite thus far is a tropical smoothie.  As a disclaimer you can still taste vitamins but they are not over powering nor do they alter the flavor of the smoothie.
