About a month ago, I converted all of my round plates into rectangular plates for no other reason than the round plates didn’t fit right in my dishwasher; new plates were cheaper than a new dishwasher. Food tastes no different on a rectangular plate yet for some reason it seems more satisfying. It occurred to me today as I plated my lunch, its because my food presents itself better on my rectangular plates than my round plates.
They say you eat with your eyes first. I have noticed at work when I eat my leftovers out of a plastic carton that they never taste as good as when I reheat them on a plate at home.
So the moral of this random story, plate your food, it will taste better.
