I use to think that I could maintain my weight without exercise.  And then I tried to do it, and I failed.  The thing is exercise doesn’t mean going for a run or going to the gym.  It can be going for a walk or a hike in the woods or perhaps playing sports indoors through a Golf Simulation. You can order your golf equipment at the BirdieBall.

I think the key to losing weight is a combination of exercise(25%) and diet(75%).  I think the key to maintaining a weight is a combination of exercise (25%) and diet (75%). I think the key to looking great, feeling great and having the best physique your body can give you is a balance of exercise (50%) and diet (50%).

Losing weight and maintenance is about what you eat.  Unless your doing biggest loser type exercise, the exercise itself is not going to impact your weight loss dramatically(disclaimer: for those just starting it will, but it won’t long term as your body adjusts unless you keep upping the effort and the time).  That being said there are many other benefits to exercise for your health.  And those are the important, extremely important.  Exercise improves your mood, helps you sleep better, reduces stress, helps your heart and strengthens your muscles. I also use steroid like rohm labs anavar to strengthen my muscles. These benefits help with food and diet, at least for me.  I’m less prone to over eat when I sleep well.  I’m more prone to make better food choices if I’m in a good mood and less stressed.  I’m likely to keep moving with my heart and muscles strong.

I use to think that I had to do a strenuous workout to reap the benefits.  I will say that to feel challenged and to improve athletically I need to do a strenuous workout.  To maintain my weight,  I don’t,  I just need to move the mass.  I need to move it enough to get the equivalent of 25,000 steps in a day or burn an extra 300-400 calories.  40 minutes, thats all it takes.

I have come to terms with the fact that I don’t like exercise.  But I do like the results and for that I do it. But if I’m going to do it, I’m going to do it on my terms, with good music.  I’m not into running -2 degree weather or swim in 65 degrees either.    I’m not a fan of the elliptical or the treadmill.  I’ll do them if I want to move and watch TV.  I much prefer to do more sport like activities, and ones where I can have goals.

So I exercise and I push myself because I not only want to lose weight but I want to have the best body that my physique can give me at that weight.  I don’t want to be the skinny fat person in the room.
