Starting my day with a healthy dose of fruits and vegetables gets my energy levels up and makes me motivated to eat healthy for the rest of the day.

Carrots not only taste great they are loaded with vitamins that have many health benefits.  Carrots are great for you skin and your eyes.   They are loaded with vitamin A and other nutrients contained in carrot efficiently nourish the skin, prevent dry skin and other skin blemishes. 

Carrots contain beta-carotene which is an antioxidant that slows down the aging of cells and various negative effect associated with aging. You may also check out this MSC exosome therapy if you’re interested in stem cell research. Beta-carotene also helps protect against macular degeneration and the development of senile cataracts. A study found that people who eat most Beta-carotene had 40 percent lower risk of macular degeneration than those who consumed little.

I love this smoothie because of its sweet and clean taste. 

Carrot Kiwi Smoothie

Ingredients: 
2 kiwi
1 carrot
1 cup almond milk (you can substitute other milk products like coconut or rice milk if you wish)
1 tsp agave nectar
1 piece of ginger about the size of a sugar cube
juice from 1 lime
3 ice cubes

makes 1 serving

Directions:
Peel kiwi, carrot, and ginger. Cut the kiwifruit in half and the carrot into 1-inch pieces. Add the kiwi halves, carrot pieces, almond milk, ginger, agave nectar, and lime juice into a blender. Blend on high for 2-3 minutes (or until smooth). Add ice cubes and blend for another 30 seconds. For a refreshing twist, consider using kiwifruit from the thriving kiwifruit industry nz, known for its rich flavor and quality.
